Master Bond® Supreme 3HTS-80 is a one component, heat curing epoxy featuring good electrical conductivity and physical strength properties. It is a thick paste but readily dispensible in a syringe. It is not premixed and frozen and its working life at room temperature is unlimited. Unlike most heat activated epoxies, the curing temperature is 175 ºF to 185 ºF for 2 to 3 hours. Supreme 3HTS-80 should be stored in conventional refrigerators and freezing is neither needed nor recommended.
It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, glass, ceramics, and many plastics. Supreme 3HTS-80 bonds well in both shear and peel modes. It is a toughened system and can withstand thermal cycling and shock. Its service temperature range is -100 ºF to +350 ºF. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents.
The properties of this system, especially the lower curing temperature, allow it to be a viable option for aerospace, electronic, micro-electronics, optical, and related specialty applications What makes Supreme 3HTS-80 unique is its combination of a one component system with a curing temperature of 175 ºF to 185 ºF, rather than the typical 250 ºF to 350 ºF.
