Our Rod Overbend Element Pit furnace is electrically powered, versatile, and can be utilized for a wide range of heat treatment operations. It’s economical and reliable, easy to operate, and yields fast turnaround for high productivity. Available in a wide range of sizes, the Rod Overbend Element Pit furnace includes low Watt-density RO elements with round cross sections designed for long-term stability, service life, and minimal resistance change. Capable of ranges up to 1850°F, its compact size works for numerous annealing, carbonitriding, carburizing, hardening, and normalizing processes. The system includes an optional inert gas atmosphere, automatic emergency nitrogen purge system, vertical easy-loading chamber, and lightweight ceramic module insulation. Dense loads can be uniformly treated, maximizing throughput. Ideal for JIT layouts, it’s built with an easy-loading vertical chamber and optional pneumatic driven covers for larger sized models. Additional customization includes circulating fan, retort, carbon controls with oxygen probe, a nitrogen-methanol or endothermic atmosphere system, flowmeters, and a variety of control instrumentation.
