Our electrically heated HOMO Nitriding Pit furnace is specifically designed for gas nitriding processes. It’s designed for superior temperature uniformity, exceptional service life, and simplified maintenance. Capable of highly efficient cooling, we offer single or two-stage models that yield parts with excellent surface hardness, decreased metal-to-metal wear, and improved corrosion resistance. The system is equipped with safety relays that automatically purge the furnace with N2 in the event of power failure or loss of ammonia pressure. The HOMO Nitriding furnace is ideal for numerous parts and components including gears, nozzles, sprockets, shafts, cams, rollers, and dies. Additional options such as forced atmosphere cooling, ammonia dissociator or an afterburner can also be added. Even under severe operating conditions, this furnace resists deterioration, especially when exposed to prolonged heat and ammonia gas.
