Sodium Hydrosulfite

Sodium Hydrosulfite is a white crystalline solid. It is used in organic reactions as a sulfonating, chelating, and decolorizing agent, in synthetic rubber production as an oxygen scavenger and reagent, and for ground wood pulp, soap, and straws as a bleaching agent. It is also used as a sugar-reducing agent, and as a fluorescence quenching agent.
