Sodium perborate tetrahydrate is a white inorganic solid. It is used in the oxidation reaction of sulfides and anilines. It is employed as an oxidant in dyes, a bleaching/degreasing agent for raw textiles, a bactericide/disinfectant in pharmaceutical drugs, as a mordant, and an additive in electroplating. It is also used in detergents, toothpaste, mouthwash antiseptics, and cosmetics.
