Sodium Metasilicate

Sodium Metasilicate is a white crystalline inorganic solid. It is used as a precursor to prepare zeolites and silica catalysts. It is used as an anticaking and drying agent, and humectant for foodstuffs, a coagulant in wastewater treatment, and a flocculant in separation. It is used as an adhesive and binder, corrosion inhibitor, sealant, and fireproofing agent. It is used in cement, drilling fluids, silica gels, bleaching paper and textiles, detergents and cleaners, and ore treatments.
