Secondary Butyl Alcohol (2-Butanol)

2-Butanol is a colorless liquid. It is used in dyes, polishes, plasticizers, cleaning products, flotation agents, wetting agents, hydraulic brake fluids, oil extractants, flavors, perfumes, fruit essences, and herbicides. It is employed as a cosolvent in the synthesis of nitro spray paint, lacquer, and thinner. It is used as an anti-emulsifying agent, dehydrating agent, dye dispersant, and paint remover.
