N-Butanol

N-Butanol is a colorless liquid. It is as utilized as an industrial intermediate to prepare butyl acetate, butyl ester, and butyl ether derivatives. It is used as a diluent/reactant in the production of melamine/formaldehyde and urea/formaldehyde resins. It is used as a solvent to make, dyes, lacquers, cellulose lacquers, resins, and varnishes. It is a constituent in nail polish formulations. It is used to make rubber cement, safety glass, textiles, artificial leather, raincoats, perfumes, motion picture, and photographic film. It is used as a softener to fabricate cellulose nitrate. It is also used in the esterification of lactic acid.
