Glycine is a white solid. It is used in the production of pyrethroid insecticides, fertilizers, pharmaceutical products, condiments, and feeds/food additives. It is used in electroplating bath additives, as raw material for cephalosporins, thiamphenicol, and glyphosate. It is used as a chelating agent.
