Zinc Sulfate

Zinc sulfate heptahydrate is a white solid. It is used in protein precipitation, to induce metallothionein expression in mice, and to remove hemoglobin from mammalian tissue cytosol to study lipoxygenase activity. It is used to prepare lithopone in printing and acts as an electrolyte in electroplating. It is employed as a zinc supplement for plants in fertilizers and agricultural sprays.
