Methylene Chloride

Methylene Chloride is a colorless liquid. It is used as a solvent in paint strippers and removers, as a process solvent in the synthesis of drugs, pharmaceuticals, and film coatings, as an extraction solvent for hops and spice oleoresins, and as a metal cleaning and finishing solvent for electronics. It is used for decaffeination, aerosol formulations, as a degreasing agent, as a blowing agent for ethane and polyurethane foam, and as a propellant for insecticides.
