Steel-on-Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Fabric Material Metric Series Maintenance-Free Spherical Plain Bearings

A steel-on-PTFE fabric-material Spherical Plain Bearing is one type of a maintenance-free SPB (others include steel-on-PTFE-composite material, steel-on-PTFE-plastic, and steel-on-bronze). Due to the variety of widths and load capacities, the outer rings are one of three types: single fractured, double fractured, and circumferential fractured. Other options are sealed and un-sealed with some model series along with varying widths including wide and extra wide.

AST’s extensive steel-on-PTFE fabric-material series is ideal for heavy loads where lubrication is not possible or desirable. For medium loads, please consider either the PTFE composite material series. For even lighter loads, you should consider the Steel on Bronze SPB series.
