Bi-Directional Direct Current (DC) to Direct Current (DC) Converters

The APS AP-6699 BCDC Battery Charger / DC Converter is a bi-directional converter that will either charge a battery bank from a DC Bus or source current from the battery into the DC Bus.

The system operating mode will be selected by the BCDC Control Board, determined by the DC bus voltage magnitude which is programmable by the user.

When the DC bus is between the DC voltage set points, the BCDC will operate in battery charger mode. Battery charging operation will turn off if the DC Bus voltage drops below a preset threshold. The amount of battery charging current will be determined by the battery voltage. When the battery voltage is below the float voltage, a constant charge current will be applied to the battery, limited to a maximum current value.
