UV Curable, Very How Viscosity Adhesive, Sealant, and Coating

Master Bond® UV10LV is a one part UV curable system for bonding, sealing and coating. It has superb optical clarity, excellent physical properties as well as very low viscosity. UV10LV generally cures readily in 20-30 seconds, when exposed to a UV light source emitting at a wavelength of 320-365 nm with an energy output as low as 20-40 milliwatts per cm². The rate of cure depends upon the compound’s distance from the light source, the thickness of the section and of course the intensity of the light source. UV10LV can cure in sections up to 0.020 inches. However, when bonding, sections of a few thousandths of an inch are more than adequate. Master Bond® UV10LV is not oxygen inhibited and therefore does not require any special treatment in that regard. As mentioned above, UV10LV is a lower viscosity version of the standard UV10.

Upon curing with very low shrinkage, UV10LV cures with good rigidity and physical strength properties. UV10LV bonds well to glass, surface treated metals and most importantly, plastics such as polycarbonates and acrylics, among others (provided they have no UV blocking agent as an additive). UV10LV has good resistance to many chemicals including water, oils, fuels as well as many bases and salts. It is an effective electrical insulator as well. It service temperature range extends from -60ºF to +250ºF. UV10LV should be considered for aerospace, opto-electronic, electronic and specialty OEM applications, where a low viscosity, high strength, UV activated system would be advantageous.
