Dimethylethanolamine (DMEA)

Dimethylethanolamine (DMEA) is a colorless to pale yellow liquid. It is used as a curing agent for epoxy resins and polyurethanes, an intermediate/buffering agent for coating materials, and an additive to amino resins, paint removers, and boiler water. It is used as a building block to prepare dyestuffs, emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, ion exchange resins, cationic flocculants, and pharmaceuticals.
