Diisopropanolamine is a colorless liquid or white to yellow color solid. It is used as a neutralizing agent for anionic stabilized resins, a cross-linking agent and building block for polyurethanes, a gas absorber, a corrosion inhibitor, and an electrophoretic coating neutralizer. It is used as an emulsifier in fiber additives, insecticides, cutting oils, tanning agents, waxes, and paints, as a sequestering agent in pharmaceuticals, photography, textile, agriculture, water purifiers, reagents, food/beverages, cosmetics, soap/detergents and as a decarbonization and desulfurization agent in the fertilizer, petrochemical and natural gas industries.
