Transformers and Inductors Manufacturing Services

At C.A. Spalding, Co., we specialize in making custom low voltage transformers and inductors. Our capabilities include contract, on-site, just-in-time and as needed production. We employ toroidal, bifilar winding, air wound coil, single and multi-layer coil winding processes. The wire can be made of copper, aluminum or any other material required.

Round, square, rectangular, ribbon, twistite, litz, multifilar and custom wire shapes are supported. We utilize Kapton®, Kevlar®, Mylar®, Nomex®, polyester and PTFE insulation materials. Our wires have 8 to 50 AWG size. Since we are your one-stop-shop, value added processes such as assembly, VPI, tinning, stripping, electrical testing, end connector assembly, coil potting and encapsulation are also offered.

Our facility is well-equipped with insulation cutters, brazing equipment, welders, curing ovens, meters and testers. We offer high pot, inductance, resistance and leak testing services. Prototype, low to high volume production and blanket orders are supported. Lead times are quoted on job-by-job basis. Emergency and rush services are available upon request.
