Vortex pumps are designed to lift coolant with very coarse chips and foreign objects. The pumps are primarily used in pump back applications. The pump inlet and discharge port have the same dimensions to eliminate potential plugging of the pump. Vortex pumps are equipped with the user friendly 45 degree connection flange which allows for either vertical or horizontal pipe connections and the installation of a pressure gauge.
