Structural Z-Bar is different in that it has rounded and squared corners with a radius at the 90s to give the Z-Bar much more strength and weight baring capabilities. Typically it is preferred in a 6061 Grade aluminum with a Temper range of 5-6 to give it added strength and ability to withstand the elements. This is heavily used in construction applications where a load will be applied to the Z-Bar and structural integrity is something that has to be considered.
